Everyone is insecure

Everyone is insecure
Nothing in life is certain
in the end we all die.
Money, wealth, power all fall away
Youth cannot be bought
The life force always dwindles.
I know a man who has millions.
He lies awake in fear that it will be lost.
His focus, like most, is too narrow.
Would have, could have, and might have
All those opportunities lost and forever gone
Love lost by attention to desire.
The past is the past and is forever gone.
It exists as only a memory, good or bad
Assign them their place and keep them dear.
The future is uncertain
In time all will be lost.
Plan for that, do not fear.
Today, you may be miserable
Made so by needs unfulfilled
The yearning, the longing, If only I had.
Or, today you can enjoy happiness
Be thankful for what you have
Be grateful for what you receive.
Sit in quiet beauty at the Marvel, which is this life.
