On God

GOD

Is he a deity? A tangible existing entity capable of pleasing or displeasing?

Or, is GOD shorthand for the transcendental?

A three letter capture of all the wonder and glory of this complex universe?

Will we go to meet him, will he crown us for our earthly glory.

Or, will we pass to another cosmic realm and assume another form upon death?

All of these questions are the subject, meat of religion.

You believe what you will, I my own.

But, can we agree on the spiritual present?

That sure knowledge of connections, out of time and space.

Must we call upon GOD to experience the divine?

Or, can we sit quietly . . expand our awareness
See and become the beauty that surrounds us.

That vision has nothing to do with death.

We each travel between the eternities, existing in this time and space.

Yet we have knowledge of the past.
Science addresses events in the distant future which, we will not witness.
Our conscious present, expands to fill the void
Of distant events past and future.

Embrace spirituality, the reality we each touch

Employ it, keep it close
It binds us to all events on the cosmic scale
It tingles and warms us in in our own private, sacred place

Move beyond the tangible GOD of our collective past

To the place we all now exist.
